Job Description:
Our client a world's leading asset manager is looking for an Oversight & Governance Project Manager VP based in Edinburgh to join the Fund Distributor Operations Change team. The team are responsible for developing strategy and executing initiatives central to the growth aspirations and priorities.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Extensive project management/change management experience gained in asset management or financial services environment.
- In-depth knowledge and experience of Transfer Agency process, asset management middle and back-office functions, fund distribution partners, retail product offerings.
- Experience successfully leading large, enterprise level projects influencing others and gaining consensus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distil sophisticated concepts and information.
- Flexible, creative, and positive approach to accommodate changing priorities with excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Strong MS Office skills - PowerPoint, Excel, Word and SmartSheets.
Core Responsibilities:
- Leading virtual teams and partnering with business leaders to drive strategic projects to completion, including complex client and technology mandates and commercial opportunities.
- Developing project plans with measurable goals, driving consensus, and communicating plans and results to key stakeholders and management.
- Identifying areas for improvement in business processes and technology tools, with lens on risk management and mitigation.
- Using own creativity and initiative to simplify complex topics and create innovative solutions for issues.
- Developing content knowledge and the ability to absorb and synthesise data and information.
