Job Description:
Our client a market leading provider of independent pensions, investments, benefits and risk consulting services is looking for a qualified accountant to join the finance team in Glasgow as a finance manager. The team play a central role in supporting the leadership of each business units and helping them drive their commercial performance. The finance manager is responsible for strengthening the analytical, financial and management reporting capability.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Accountant qualification such as ACCA, CA, CIMA.
- Experience within business partnering and client services with a proven ability to lead and motivate teams and liaise with senior leadership.
- Experience of identifying and implementing process and control improvements.
- Experience of Oracle NetSuite and Caseware is desirable.
- Experience with LLP's is desirable.
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- Great attention to detail with the ability to solve problems.
- Strong digital skills including excel.
Core Responsibilities:
- Providing key business partnering support for senior budget holders including budgeting and forecasting analysis on a proactive basis.
- Determining financial implications of potential future strategic plans and ideas.
- Responsible for the ownership and management of the month end reporting process, year end audit, and statutory accounting processes ensuring timely delivery and accuracy.
- Developing and enhancing the management information reporting.
- Managing a small team of people while working as a key member of the finance leadership team.
