Job Description:
Our client, a leading Financial Services firm, are looking for a Risk and Compliance Manager to join them on a permanent basis. Candidates should have a compliance background, ideally with monitoring and controls assurance. This is an excellent opportunity to grow and develop the role.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Strong experience working in a compliance function of the FCA regulated business, preferably involving asset management.
- Professional body member in good standing (or eligible for same).
- Professional and academic qualifications to undergraduate or equivalent level.
Core Responsibilities:
- Regulatory compliance
- Operational risk
- External and internal assurance support
- Development and maintenance of risk management framework
- Oversight of risks and issues, including independent review, assurance and timely reporting to key stakeholders in relation to the effectiveness of the control environment and compliance with regulatory obligations and requirements
- Coordinate planning and management of regulatory change
- Coordinate and manage the effective recording, analysis and reporting of incidents
- Developing and monitoring key risk indicators for various risks and obligations to measure business performance against risk appetite
- Represent R&C on projects and change initiatives as required
- Design and implementation of operational best practice and process and control improvements
- R&C policies
