Job Description:

Core-Asset Consulting is partnering with a leading financial services and technology organisation to recruit an AI Developer for an exciting opportunity within a growing technology function in Newcastle.

This is an excellent opportunity for an AI Developer to contribute to the development of innovative AI solutions within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. The successful candidate will work across the full AI development lifecycle, supporting the design, implementation and optimisation of scalable AI services and intelligent workflows.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Experience working with AI and LLM-based systems
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Azure OpenAI
    • RAG architectures
    • Vector databases and similarity search technologies
  • Experience developing AI orchestration or agent-style solutions
  • Strong understanding of LLM behaviour, optimisation and limitations
  • Experience with .NET, C# and MVC would be advantageous
  • Exposure to AI evaluation, testing and governance practices would be beneficial

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop AI solutions using Azure OpenAI and the Microsoft Agent Framework
  • Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines across structured and unstructured data
  • Build agentic workflows and multi-step AI orchestration solutions
  • Implement vector search and retrieval capabilities using Azure AI Search
  • Contribute to the development of scalable, secure and observable AI services within Azure
