Betsy founded Core-Asset Consulting in 2005 whilst working towards her Master’s in Human Capital Management, she initially graduated with a BA Hon’s in International Business in 1999. Betsy has spent her entire career within Asset Management and Investment Recruitment in Scotland.

Louise is the co-founder of Core-Asset Consulting, she is an experienced recruitment specialist with over 20 years’ experience, initially within asset management Louise transitioned to FinTech, Platforms and Pensions following client demand in these areas.

Together with her sector level specialisms Louise is responsible for the day-to-day management of the permanent recruitment team.

Mike is the Managing Director of Core-Asset Solutions. Mike has 20 years' experience exclusively with temporary, interim and contract recruitment services.

His division Core-Asset Solutions is focused on the investment management, financial services and accounting & finance sectors in Scotland. Mike is also an expert in employment legislation and has sat on many industry panels throughout his career.

He has a BSc Honours in Genetics from the University of Edinburgh and is a member of the Recruitment & Employment Confederation.

Originally from Orkney, Fiona graduated from the University of Aberdeen in 2006 with an accountancy and finance degree. She qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2009 (ICAS) while at Johnston Carmichael.

Since leaving practice in 2010, Fiona has worked at Lloyds Banking Group and Virgin Money as a finance business partner.

When not crunching numbers, Fiona enjoys running, learning new languages and travel.

Rachael has been recruiting since 2004 specialising in permanent roles within Investment Operations. She has wide-ranging experience in asset servicing across back office and middle office together with Accounting and Finance.

Rachael is passionate about ensuring candidates and clients receive a truly consultative service.

A founding member of Core-Asset Solutions, Emma has over 11 years’ recruitment experience and is renowned for providing excellent client service. She specialises in Core Business Functions.

Working with many of Scotland’s leading financial services, asset management & asset servicing firms, Emma has developed a great understanding of her clients’ businesses from front through to back office.

Kim joined Core-Asset Consulting in 2008 post-graduation.

Kim specialises in recruiting experienced individuals into middle office technical roles together with managing all Legal recruitment requirements with clients.

Kim has a professional and proactive approach ensuring candidates and clients always receive the highest standards of service.

Having joined Core-Asset as a graduate of the University of Edinburgh in 2014, Julia has over 7 years’ recruitment experience and is responsible for interim, temporary and contract vacancies that are entry to mid-level.

Specialising in Support Services, these roles include Project Support, PA, Secretarial, Receptionist, Marketing, HR, IT Helpdesk and Customer Service positions.

Julia also assists graduates in gaining access into the financial sector.

Steven joined Core-Asset Consulting in August 2021 and has almost 10 years of recruitment experience, the majority in Asset Management and Asset Servicing roles in Scotland. He specialises in mid to senior roles within operations and risk across the FS sector.

Outside of work Steven enjoys football, golf and travelling.

Titta has worked at Core-Asset Consulting since 2008. She joined the company after graduating from Edinburgh Napier University with a 2.1 degree in Business Management. Titta moved to Edinburgh from Finland in 2002.

Titta specialises in recruiting individuals across a wide spectrum of roles in Business Support Services including Compliance and Risk, Marketing, PR and Human Resources.

As Business Manager within Core-Asset Solutions, a division of Core-Asset Consulting, Ian specialises in the recruitment of interim, temporary and contract staff across the financial services and investment sectors in Scotland.

His areas of expertise include Accountancy and Finance roles. Whilst Ian has become a trusted partner for our clients seeking qualified and experienced professionals, Ian also assists graduates in gaining access into the financial sector.

Kamilla graduated with a First-Class Degree in Business Management from Edinburgh Napier University in 2019. She joined Core-Asset Consulting in January 2013 initially as an Associate.

Kamilla is responsible for Front Office Asset Management Recruitment across Equity, Fixed Income, Multi-Asset, Private Equity and Alternatives, together with supporting Core-Asset’s International Executive Search capabilities which operates Globally. Kamilla is trilingual in English, German and Russian.

Chris joined Core-Asset Consulting in February 2019 as a Recruitment Resourcer. He specialises in Investment Operations and Core Business Functions.

Chris graduated from Abertay University in 2018 with a degree in Marketing and Business and has assisted recent graduates with taking their first step into financial services.

Outside of work, Chris enjoys rugby, football and craft beer.

As Consultant, Cat supports the Core-Asset Solutions team by sourcing qualified candidates through various channels, specialising in Change and IT.

Cat began her journey with Core by delivering vetting, payroll and aftercare services after graduating from the University of Aberdeen in 2019.

As a Consultant, Laura delivers vetting, payroll and aftercare services.

After graduating from Queen Margaret University in 2020 with a 2:1 degree in Business Management with Enterprise, Laura took a year out to travel the world independently before joining the Core-Asset Consulting team.

Ellen is a recent MA graduate in History from the University of Edinburgh, joining us as an Associate Resourcer.

Ellen works closely with Kim, our legal and asset management specialist, she is responsible for identifying the best talent in these markets, supporting and guiding them through the full recruitment process.

After graduating from the University of Stirling with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History, Rowan joined Core-Asset as a Resource Associate in 2023. Rowan carries out vetting and onboarding services within the Core-Asset Verify and Solutions teams. Rowan is passionate about providing applicants with a rewarding onboarding experience.

Originally from Aberdeen, Laura moved to Edinburgh in 2014 to join Core-Asset Consulting.

With previous experience across a variety of finance roles within the oil & gas industry, Laura is now a fully qualified accountant with ACCA.

She graduated in 2012 from Robert Gordon University with a BA (Hons) in management and finance.

Julie joined Core-Asset Consulting in August 2019 as Senior Associate – Business Risk and Control. She is responsible for ensuring the business meets both its internal and external obligations with respect to its regulatory undertakings and managing the various operational risks appropriately. She is also the Chair of the Risk & Compliance Committee and our Data Protection Officer (DPO).

Julie graduated from Université de Lorraine (France) with a Master’s in Foreign Languages and Translation.

In her free time, Julie enjoys reading books with a good cup of tea and long walks.

Marianne joined us in December 2017 as a Payroll and Finance Administrator.

She moved to Edinburgh from Manila, Philippines in 2015 and has worked in various payroll and finance roles since 2010. Marianne processes payroll for our temporary candidates, along with carrying out various finance and HR tasks.

Outside of work, she enjoys keeping fit and travelling to new destinations.

Originally from Northern Ireland, David studied at the University of Edinburgh and graduated in 2021 with a MA in Finance and Business (Hons).

David assists with the payroll function for our temporary workers and works within the finance department.

In his spare time, David enjoys playing Irish and Scottish traditional music.

Madeleine joined Core - Asset in January 2023 as an Associate, Recruitment Operations and Project Support. She is instrumental in supporting the permanent team in a range of administrative and compliance tasks as well as supporting internal Projects. Madeleine also looks after the day to day running of the office.
