Job Description:
Our client, a leading global financial services firm is looking for an experienced Senior Product Development Manager to join their team. The role is flexible on location (ideally Edinburgh or London)
Reporting to global Head of Real Estate Product Strategy & Specialists, you will be instrumental in managing new & existing product developments end-to-end including evaluating and proposing new product ideas with partners across the business. You will also play a key role in ensuring that the firm has optimal product range to meet client needs, maximise opportunities and ultimately grow the business.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- A strong working knowledge and experience of developing and managing UK & European closed- and open-ended products
- A solid understanding of the legal and regulatory environment associated with investment product
- Knowledge of investment markets and relevant products
- A thorough knowledge of key competition and the competitive environment
- Demonstrable knowledge of business processes and procedures in accordance with the Company's Global Code of Conduct as well as the compliance and legislative environment
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage new & existing product developments end-to-end including evaluating and proposing new product ideas with partners across the business
- Work closely and co-ordinate with internal and external project stakeholders to ensure that there is smooth transition through the various stages of product development and management, from idea generation through to implementation
- Actively recommend and implement improvements to the product development process
- Ensure all proposals are approved by requisite committees and boards before they are implemented
- Actively contribute and drive forward process enhancement & management initiatives
- Provide support to the US and Asia-Pacific product development teams in relation to funds/feeders involving European investment vehicles
- Provide coaching/mentoring to junior members of the team Provide support to the wider Product and Client Solutions team as required
