Job Description:
Our client a market leading financial consultant in the UK is recruiting a Responsible Investment Analyst. You will be instrumental in helping with a number of tasks surrounding clients needs on Responsible Investment and climate change. This can be from undertaking manager research, leading projects on RI strategies and helping to define client obligations to meet the Stewardship Code. A varied role, this is an ideal opportunity for either an experienced investment specialist with a passion for ESG or someone within the sustainability field, looking to join a leading investment firm.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Relevant experience gained in a related role.
- A demonstrable knowledge of and interest in the field of RI and/or climate change.
- First class IT skills (in particular Microsoft Excel).
- A minimum of a strong degree in sustainability, maths, economics, or other numerate discipline, or equivalent.
- Evidence of good professional exam progress to date would be an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexible, pro-active and innovative approach.
- Demonstrable analytical ability.
- Great project management skills and ability to multitask.
- Collaborative approach to work and ability to work independently when required.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Experience gained within the investment field.
Core Responsibilities:
- Support the development and delivery of the RI proposition in accordance with the RI business plan through:
- Drafting reports for peer review by other members of the RI team on RI aspects of investment consulting.
- Analysis of portfolios and production of quality climate and environmental, social and governance ('ESG') monitoring reports using our 3rd party climate/ESG data tool.
- Production of stewardship (voting and engagement) client reporting and Implementation Statements
- Undertaking ESG focused manager research.
- Being a day to day point of contact to support in responding to RI related queries from the broader consulting team.
- Undertaking RI project work including supporting clients in reporting against the Task force on Climate related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), integration of RI considerations within manager selections, assisting clients in establishing RI beliefs and writing RI policies.
- Assisting with the dissemination of knowledge to both internal and external audiences through training sessions, drafting blog posts, articles etc.
- Adhering to the firm's Information Security standards, policies and procedures.
