Job Description:
Our client a market leading investment management firm are looking for a Corporate Actions Manager to sit within the Corporate Actions team. The team are responsible for the timely and accurate processing of Corporate Action Events, on behalf of the firm's clients. The team itself sits within the Operations department of the business. The Corporate Actions Manager is responsible for all daily work and controls within the Corporate Actions team and ensuring AAF controls are adhered to across processes.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Previous Corporate Actions Experience.
- Proven leadership and management skills; ability to prioritise and identify high-risk issues and communicate to senior management as required.
- CISI Operations Level 4.
- Technical knowledge and understanding of markets, the trade process and settlement.
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office
- Ability to effectively operate with enthusiasm and flexibility in a fast-paced, continually evolving environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to build understanding and trust internally and with clients.
Core Responsibilities:
- Staff management and development including performance management; maintenance of skills matrix to identify training gaps.
- Corporate Actions SME.
- Vendor Management of key external provider relationships.
- Articulation and delivery of overall business strategy.
- Delivery of process improvements and automation.
- Oversight of and involvement in team projects including product development.
- Maintenance of team procedures and control framework through the Risk and Control Self-Assessment.
- Ensuring compliance with internal and external control environment, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are up to date and followed by staff.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) internally and externally. Escalate major or consistent breaches of SLAs.
- Responsibility for dealing with internal and external audit functions when required.
- Reporting to Head of Operations and wider Senior Management group.
- Analysis of monthly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) information and Management Information (MI) trend reporting.
- Ultimate oversight of team performance and query responses.
