Job Description:

Our client one of the leading investment management companies in Edinburgh are looking for a capable organised individual with previous experience of servicing Private clients in the financial services, to come in and support lead relationship managers in their servicing and development of their High net worth client base. The role will focus on working closely with Private Client Managers to provide support for new and existing Discretionary, Wealth Management and Family Office clients.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Numeracy and literacy skills to at least A level/Higher standard.
  • An industry relevant examination such as CISI IAD / CISI IOC Qualification or working towards this (desirable).
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a Private Client Financial Services environment.
  • Understanding and experience providing support with the annual FCA ongoing suitability process.
  • Knowledge of Pershing Nexus and Xplan systems & procedures (desirable).
  • Good working knowledge of all Microsoft office applications specifically Excel.
  • Great accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail in order to maintain the highest levels of service.
  • Client-focused approach with the ability to ensure that necessary actions are taken to service clients whilst maintaining positive relationships externally and internally.
  • Confident telephone manner, rapport and relationship building skills in order to rapidly establish a high level of trust with clients and PCMs and colleagues across the company.
  • Great planning and organisation skills to maximise operational efficiency and service, including appropriate prioritisation.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the PCT Directors with initial suitability reports (transfer analysis) across GIAs' and ISA's for new and existing clients as well as by setting up meetings, taking meeting notes where required, and completing the relevant post meeting documentation and Statement of Suitability (SOS) for final review.
  • Ensuring that all client data and client communication are accurate, appropriate, and delivered at the right time, to include emails, letters, and reports.
  • Managing own and PCM's workloads to ensure the best client experience.
  • After appropriate training, taking dealing instructions directly from clients and the Directors for ongoing placement.
  • After appropriate training, ongoing portfolio management of unitised clients for fees and withdrawals.
  • Helping to input, manipulate, and maintain prospect data on Xplan, monitor prospects, generate initial reports, and open accounts.
  • Liaising closely with PCT Client Servicing Team and members of Operations team to ensure full communication and understanding, minimising errors and maximising service levels.
  • Filing, in accordance with the internal and FCA procedures.
