Job Description:
Our client a market leading asset management firm is looking for an Investment Performance Reporting Associate based in Edinburgh to sit within the Performance Measurement and Attribution team. The team itself forms part of the Global Accounting and Product Services being responsible for aligning performance attribution solutions with the evolving needs of the clients.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- A performance, attribution, or index background within financial services with a minimum of 4 years industry experience.
- Experience with industry performance systems and principles, solid understanding of accounting and investment industry regulations.
- Experience of SQL, Python, VBA, or similar languages is desirable.
- Desire to solve problems and learn new technologies with the ability to synthesise information, summarise issues, and take the initiative.
- Excellent communicator, both verbal and written, displaying strong interpersonal skills, and feeling comfortable interacting on projects and owning relationships.
Core Responsibilities:
- Working as a source of performance and system knowledge, providing guidance and expertise to business partners in relation to unitised and pooled fund performance.
- Gaining a full understanding of internal analytical systems and using them to investigate internal and external client inquires.
- Developing knowledge of the investment products, teams, and various performance solutions in relation to fulfilling industry wide regulatory requirements.
- Partnering on automation and development of existing performance and NAV related functions.
- Developing own expertise of who is accountable for the quality and content of data and understanding the data flows throughout the business.
