Job Description:

Our client, a provider of outsourced investment services to wealth managers, private banks, family offices and advisory businesses, is looking for an Execution Services Manager based in Edinburgh or Glasgow to sit within the Execution Services team. The role of the Execution Services Manager is to look after all securities and FX trading carried out on behalf of client firms and their customers. The role reports to the Head of Operations.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • CISI Operations Level 4 Qualification.
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of execution across securities and FX.
  • Strong understanding of relevant regulation and excellent regulatory awareness.
  • Prior leadership and management experience.
  • Awareness and experience of project management and ability to operate within project governance framework is desirable.
  • Analytical and accurate approach.
  • Ability to prioritise and identify high-risk issues and communicate to senior management as required.
  • Strong attention to detail with a can-do approach to delivery.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Proven ability to build understanding and trust internally and with clients.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Grow client penetration and revenue derived from execution services.
  • Manage associated internal, vendor and provider costs.
  • Keep up to date with developments on each system vendor and provider to ensure the maximised use of the functionality available.
  • Develop propositions to ensure relevance to client firms.
  • Ensure adequate systems and controls are developed, implemented, and maintained.
  • Provide selection and ongoing service management.
  • Manage staff and development, including performance management and the maintenance of a suitable detailed skills matrix to identify training gaps.
  • Deliver process improvements and automation, together with project and change deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external control environment.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) internally and externally. Escalate major or consistent breaches of SLAs.
  • Be responsible for dealing with internal and external audit functions when required.
  • Oversee team performance and query responses.
