Job Description:
Our client, a UK-based global investment company, is looking for an experienced Investment Risk Manager based in Edinburgh or London to support the continual evolution of the risk management framework across Real Assets products. In this role, you will analyse, identify, advance, and report all portfolio-level investment risk issues ensuring funds are managed in line with client, regulatory and / or in-house limits. You will work closely with the investment teams and product development teams, as well as other key stakeholders to ensure an appropriate risk framework is in place for each fund.
Expert knowledge of Real Estate and/or Infrastructure funds/industry is essential for this senior level position.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience.
- Strong understanding of KRIs relevant to Real Estate and Infrastructure funds.
- Experience within the asset management or banking industry, ideally in Real Estate and/or Infrastructure funds.
- Strong knowledge and interpretation of regulations related to investment risk and liquidity risk management, particularly AIFMD.
- Solid understanding of Real Estate and Infrastructure industry.
- Relevant professional qualifications such as IMC/CFA/ FRM/PRM is desirable.
- Strong communicator and report writing skills.
Core Responsibilities:
- Ensure clarity of fund objective and strategy and that strong tripartite agreements are implemented in line with the roll-out schedule and reviewed at an appropriate frequency, underpinning the investment risk management framework across all of the firm's real assets funds.
- Collate all relevant KRI information in order to provide in depth quantitative and qualitative analysis across all funds in scope.
- Provide robust oversight and challenge in the identification of all risk issues, tracking to resolution.
- Provide detailed reporting of fund level risks where appropriate.
- Provide summary level reporting across product sets to all relevant committees and boards.
- Build strong trusted relationships and proactively engage and collaborate with key stakeholders in respect of BAU and project work.
