Job Description:
Our client, an award-winning online wrap platform, is looking for a Senior Analyst - Financial Planning and Performance to join the team in Edinburgh. You will play an integral part in partnering with and providing finance support across all areas of the business. This is an important role to work with senior finance business partners and business leaders to prepare relevant MI aligned to business needs and support decision making to allow to deliver on financial targets.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Accounting qualification with relevant PQE or equivalent work experience.
- Good working knowledge and experience within financial modelling.
- Experience analysing, conveying, and reporting financial information using Excel, BI tools, and PowerPoint.
- Strong systems experience especially Excel - advanced MS Excel and data skills are a must for this role.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Real team player approach capable of working independently with a high degree of self-motivation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills - confident working closely with senior stakeholders.
Core Responsibilities:
- Supporting the team to deliver the recurring internal and external deliverables, in particular month end and re forecast cycles.
- Preparing month end analysis to support commentaries.
- Assisting in preparation of analysis packs to support board papers and presentations.
- Data management - looking after mapping tables, data structures etc to ensure accuracy of reporting.
- Continuously improving the processes and procedures to support efficient and effective operations within a strong internal control environment.
- Preparing accurate cost analysis, and identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to support senior finance business partners.
