Job Description:

A leading financial services consultancy firm is looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join their team. You will provide guidance to the business managers across a number of HR policies, supporting recruitment campaigns across all levels from graduate to Partner level and being involved in departmental projects. With your CIPD qualification, you will have experience in the financial services sector.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • A good grasp of employment law as well as a firm understanding of the workings and application of core HR processes will also be required.
  • Able to use initiative and make decisions with minimum guidance, within realm of responsibilities
  • Ability to meet deadlines and achieve agreed results.
  • Takes ownership of issues and see through to resolution whilst understanding when to escalate if required
  • Experience of guiding business managers in straight forward employee relations matters
  • Experience of carrying out high volume recruitment campaigns for career hire roles and intern or graduate programmes.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Solid and demonstrable experience of working in professional services or within a financially regulated environment

Core Responsibilities:

  • Advise, support and coach people managers in the correct application of HR policies and approaches
  • Provision of HR advice to employees, including advice around our family friendly provisions
  • Refine and operate key HR processes and procedures eg inductions, exit interviews etc and co-ordinate relevant correspondence with HR Assistants
  • Use of management information to identify trends/ issues in conjunction with HR Business Partners
  • Manage employee relations cases from end to end which may include conduct, absence management or performance cases, with support from HR Business Partner as required
  • Provide help to implement change management initiatives
  • Facilitate skills development sessions within the wider business
  • Ensure accurate data is maintained on HR systems
  • Assist HR Business Partners with cyclical processes e.g. annual pay and bonus reviews
  • Support the recruitment process as required (up to Partner level)
  • Undertake various ad hoc projects and activities as required in accordance with agreed HR team priorities
