Job Description:
Our client, a UK based Asset Management firm offers independent financial planning and investment advice to individuals, corporate entities, trusts and charities. They are looking for a Financial Planning Assistant to join their growing and diverse team. This is an excellent opportunity to be put through exams as well as gaining valuable private wealth knowledge.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft products.
- Competent knowledge of core financial products such as ISAs, SIPPs, Pensions, GIAs and more
- Comfortable navigating provider platforms to obtain required information or to transact business
- A 'Client first' attitude.
- Extremely proactive, motivated, and organised individual
- Good communication skills - professional, friendly, and approachable manner
- Diligent and motivated to continually achieve the firm's objectives
- Enthusiasm and commitment to the firm
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Experience with Intelliflo Office, Standard Life Wrap and 7IM platforms
Core Responsibilities:
- Processing all new business, submitting applications, in paper/online formats to platforms and providers, thereafter, tracking and chasing progress through to completion
- Processing client documents according to AML and KYC regulations
- Preparing meeting packs for new and existing clients including valuations, portfolio/fund performance analysis and obtaining any ad hoc supporting info
- Processing Risk Questionnaires
- Data input and ongoing maintenance of our Client Record Management system (Intelliflo Office) and various platforms including 7IM, Abrdn Wrap
- Handling closing and deceased client accounts
- Processing client fees, invoices and payments as well as verifying income receipts
- Contributing to regular reporting requirements in line with MiFID regulations
- Co-ordinating mail merges and drafting general correspondence to clients, providers, solicitors etc.
- Sorting and distributing mail
- Assisting in ad-hoc enquiries and project work
- Maintaining relevant industry knowledge to remain compliant with our regulatory body, Financial Conduct Authority
