Job Description:
One of our top clients is seeking a Portfolio Assurance Analyst to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the governance and assurance activity across all projects in their portfolio. You will also complete assurance reporting, analysing results and evidencing the delivery of robust portfolio governance and controls. Essential Skills/Experience:
- You will have previous change experience for example PM or PMO particularly at portfolio level or working on a major change programme.
- Good understanding of project management frameworks and methodologies and the delivery of change
- Strong track record in knowledge of assurance activities, or a project delivery environment is essential.
- You have a pro-active mindset and are enthusiastic to take on new challenges and work in a dynamic team.
- You can constructively challenge and influence colleagues to produce positive outcomes.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders, building positive relationships whilst managing their expectations.
- You have an analytical, methodical approach and have knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Core Responsibilities:
- You will support the Portfolio to provide advice, independent opinion, and assurance of alignment to the Change Management Framework and Group Risk Policies.
- You will build relationships within the Business Growth Portfolio with our Risk colleagues and other change portfolios within the company to support effective assurance activities and drive improvements in performance and be a champion for lessons learned.
- You will be responsible to produce meaningful analysis of data that is complete, accurate and produced on a timely basis, while articulating more complex issues for escalation.
- You will support the team in the development and maintenance of policies, communications, and ongoing reviews of compliance with governance policies whilst ensuring the appropriate evidence and audit trails are in place.
- You will undertake regular formal and informal independent assurance activities to support health checks on programmes, identifying where standards may not have been met and helping to implement and track corrective actions.
- Where applicable you may have to document new processes and agree responsibilities with appropriate owners across the portfolio.
- You will complete analysis, implementation, and monitoring of efficient oversight processes, including documenting the processes and roles and responsibilities of different areas involved.
- You will support the Portfolio Office team in the fulfilment of governance, reporting and administrative activities, and effectively balance long and short-term objectives to ensure the team delivers as expected and provides continuous improvement of services.
