Job Description:

We are working on an exciting opportunity for a Business Continuity Manager to join a leading financial services company in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will be responsible for looking at frameworks for business continuity and governance of suppliers.

Our client offers hybrid working and you can work from home 3 days a week.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Previous experience in a supplier governance/oversight, or business continuity role.
  • Knowledge of Operational Resilience, Incident Management and Business Continuity.
  • Understanding of supplier management frameworks, key performance indicators and dashboards.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office packages especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across all functions.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain effective Business Continuity Management Plans.
  • Coordination of firm wide business impact assessments to support continuity planning and resource mapping.
  • Manage the end-to-end 'mapping' of services, systems, vulnerabilities, and risks.
  • Support the production and enhancement of metrics and other MI for management meetings and governance reports.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting innovation, creativity, and process optimisation.
  • Coordination of business continuity & disaster recovery planning exercises.
  • Implementation of an Operational Resilience training and awareness program.
  • Develop and maintain the Supplier Management Governance Framework ensuring all stakeholders are aware of their accountabilities.
  • Define and set expectations for quality and delivery for suppliers.
  • Implement supplier risk management processes, including contingency plans and alternative supplier options.
