Job Description:

Our client, a reputable asset management firm, have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst to join their Edinburgh based team on an initial 6-month contract basis. The role will suit a highly skilled Business Analyst who has a solid background within asset management.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Highly experienced working in a business analyst role with a strong understanding of investment management processes.
  • Hands-on experience with order management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Knowledge of investment compliance requirements would be beneficial.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration between various stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in documentation, testing, and analysis.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Document existing data sources used by the Investment Compliance team.
  • Facilitate Transition of Investment Controls.
  • Analyse results generated by the coded rules in the order management system.
  • Test new reports and workflows in the order management system, verifying that they meet business requirements and align with operational needs.
  • Collaborate with internal clients, such as trading and portfolio management teams, to test and validate workflows.
