Job Description:
Our client, a leading global financial services provider, is looking to appoint a Corporate Actions Assistant VP to join their team in Glasgow. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a high-performing custody services environment, supporting institutional clients across multiple markets. You will be a key point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring the smooth delivery of daily operational processes and the highest standards of service.
Skills/Experience:
- Proven custody operations and client-facing experience
- Strong working knowledge of UK and global markets
- Understanding of corporate action event cycles and operational processes
- Excellent customer service focus and stakeholder management skills
- Strong risk awareness and adherence to controls
- Analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Experience driving process improvement and innovation
- Proficiency in manual data input
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage client and internal queries across the Global and Local Custody area, ensuring timely and accurate responses
- Oversee daily BAU tasks including corporate actions, income, custody reconciliations, sanctions securities processing, reporting and physical securities handling
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing market and operational insight to clients
- Ensure adherence to procedures, controls, and risk frameworks, with a proactive approach to identifying improvements
- Attend and lead client and internal meetings, due diligence, and service reviews
- Support new business opportunities and client onboarding
- Maintain and enhance operational procedures, updating as required
- Contribute to risk monitoring through KPI and metric development
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and cross-departmental initiatives
