Job Description:
Core-Asset Consulting is working with a leading UK wealth management and financial planning firm to appoint an experienced Paraplanner to join a growing and collaborative team in Edinburgh.
The Paraplanner will provide high-quality technical and paraplanning support to Financial Planners, helping to deliver clear, compliant and client-focused advice solutions. The role offers exposure across the full advice lifecycle and the opportunity to contribute to a well-established, expanding financial planning function.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Previous experience as a Paraplanner within a financial planning environment
- CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Advice (Level 4) or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of the financial advice process across a broad range of planning areas.
- Good knowledge of regulatory, risk and governance frameworks
- Excellent written communication, numeracy and report-writing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint
- Experience using financial planning systems such as Xplan or similar
Core Responsibilities:
- Produce accurate, timely and compliant suitability reports for clients and advisers
- Support Financial Planners with client meetings where appropriate, including preparation of meeting notes and documentation.
- Assist with client queries and the delivery of ongoing client service strategies
- Prepare annual review documentation, including cashflow modelling where required
- Work closely with the Paraplanning Lead and wider team to manage workflow and meet agreed deadlines.
- Maintain effective working relationships across the business
- Keep CPD records up to date and complete all required training
- Support the development of junior or trainee paraplanners where appropriate
