Job Description:
We are working on a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Manager to join a leading financial services firm based in the Central Belt. In this role you will be responsible for the preparation of management accounts, updating the financial forecast model, treasury management and regulatory and compliance reporting.
Skills/Experience:
- Qualified accountant or degree level with strong relevant experience.
- Proven experience in management accounting, financial forecasting, and regulatory reporting in a financial services environment.
- Confidence in preparing executive reports and presenting to senior stakeholders.
- Experience with financial systems; familiarity with Sage or similar accounting platforms is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.
- A proactive, self‑motivated approach and a commitment to high standards of work.
- Demonstrable experience of leading process improvements and enhancing financial controls.
Core Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review and analyse monthly and quarterly management accounts and deliver associated reporting.
- Lead business forecasting, variance analysis and provide insight to the executive team and Board.
- Support treasury management in line with cash flow forecasts and oversee accounts receivable and invoicing processes.
- Partner with external advisors (e.g., auditors, tax advisers) to facilitate statutory reporting and audit processes.
- Review and submit VAT and other tax returns; oversee expense processes for the firm.
- Compile and present executive‑level reports and Board packs, ensuring clarity and relevance to stakeholders.
- Drive improvements to systems, processes and the financial control environment as the business evolves.
- Support the wider finance team with consolidated reporting and quarterly returns.
- Manage, mentor and develop junior finance personnel, ensuring a high‑performing team.
