Job Description:

Our client, a reputable Private Bank, has an opportunity for an Associate Director to join their Edinburgh team. This role will involve supporting the management and development of a client portfolio, delivering tailored lending, deposit and banking solutions, whilst building strong, long-term relationships with clients.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Achieved or working towards a recognised professional banking qualification (e.g. Chartered Banker or CeMAP).
  • Experience developing and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong questioning and listening skills to identify and understand client needs.
  • Ability to present information and recommendations clearly and concisely.
  • Strong networking ability with experience developing internal and external relationships.
  • A collaborative team player with a proactive approach.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, integrity and discretion at all times.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support the management and development of a defined client portfolio, building strong and lasting client relationships.
  • Assist senior colleagues with the management of their client portfolios.
  • Recommend suitable banking, lending and deposit solutions to meet client needs.
  • Prepare documentation including briefing papers, reports, presentations and internal materials.
  • Complete internal credit applications and support the monitoring of borrowing facilities in line with internal credit policies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies and risk frameworks.
  • Maintain accurate client records, including KYC and anti-money laundering documentation.
  • Develop an understanding of the organisation's operating environment and the needs of its client base.
  • Attend networking events and support targeted business development activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to deliver high-quality client service.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records including meetings, contacts, prospects and business opportunities.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc business projects where required.
