Job Description:
Our client, a reputable Private Bank, has an opportunity for an Associate Director to join their Edinburgh team. This role will involve supporting the management and development of a client portfolio, delivering tailored lending, deposit and banking solutions, whilst building strong, long-term relationships with clients.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Achieved or working towards a recognised professional banking qualification (e.g. Chartered Banker or CeMAP).
- Experience developing and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong questioning and listening skills to identify and understand client needs.
- Ability to present information and recommendations clearly and concisely.
- Strong networking ability with experience developing internal and external relationships.
- A collaborative team player with a proactive approach.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities effectively.
- Demonstrates professionalism, integrity and discretion at all times.
Core Responsibilities:
- Support the management and development of a defined client portfolio, building strong and lasting client relationships.
- Assist senior colleagues with the management of their client portfolios.
- Recommend suitable banking, lending and deposit solutions to meet client needs.
- Prepare documentation including briefing papers, reports, presentations and internal materials.
- Complete internal credit applications and support the monitoring of borrowing facilities in line with internal credit policies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies and risk frameworks.
- Maintain accurate client records, including KYC and anti-money laundering documentation.
- Develop an understanding of the organisation's operating environment and the needs of its client base.
- Attend networking events and support targeted business development activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to deliver high-quality client service.
- Maintain accurate CRM records including meetings, contacts, prospects and business opportunities.
- Contribute to ad-hoc business projects where required.
