Job Description:

Core-Asset Consulting is partnering with a leading global financial services organisation to recruit a Business Analyst, based in Glasgow (hybrid working), on a contract basis until December 2026.

This role offers the chance to contribute to high-profile finance and regulatory reporting transformation initiatives, working within an Agile environment and collaborating with stakeholders across multiple business areas and regions.

Skills/Experience:

  • Previous Business Analysis experience within financial services, or strong subject matter expertise gained within a finance or regulatory reporting environment.
  • Experience working on change, transformation, or process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate data, identify issues, and implement practical solutions.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong documentation and process-mapping capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience presenting findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and a highly numerate approach.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, alongside collaboration and process-mapping tools.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct business analysis activities in support of strategic data and process optimisation initiatives within Regulatory Reporting.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders and technology teams to gather requirements, create user stories, and support prioritisation activities.
  • Build strong working relationships with colleagues across multiple departments and international locations.
  • Lead and contribute to project workstreams focused on the integration and utilisation of strategic data within regulatory reporting systems.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, providing updates and reporting to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Support issue resolution and escalate risks or concerns where appropriate.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of finance and regulatory change initiatives within a dynamic and evolving environment.
