Job Description:
Core-Asset Consulting is delighted to be partnering with a highly regarded financial services firm in recruiting an experienced Financial Controller.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional to take ownership of a broad range of financial control, reporting and treasury activities within a growing and dynamic organisation. You will play a key role in maintaining a strong financial control framework, supporting strategic decision-making and leading a high-performing finance team.
Skills/Experience:
- Qualified accountant.
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise as well as a sound understanding of financial controls and governance.
- Experience overseeing finance operations and supporting team development.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly and effectively.
- Degree educated with a minimum of five years' post-qualified experience within financial services.
- Experience using accounting or ledger systems; knowledge of Sage and advanced Excel skills would be advantageous.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop members of the finance team.
- Oversee the preparation and delivery of management and statutory financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, quality and adherence to reporting deadlines.
- Maintain and enhance financial controls, processes and systems to support operational efficiency, risk management and regulatory compliance.
- Manage treasury activities including cash flow oversight, funding transactions, debt servicing, intercompany transfers and liquidity management.
- Prepare and review financial information for board reporting, working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure the timely production of reporting packs.
- Support the preparation of financial and performance reporting.
- Coordinate financial compliance activities, including lender reporting requirements and indirect tax submissions.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors.
