Job Description:

Our client, a financial services firm based in Glasgow, is looking to appoint a Client Support Executive to join its growing team on a part-time basis (3 days per week), initially on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced financial services professional with settlements or wider investment operations knowledge to join a dynamic team and step into a varied role.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Previous investment operations or client queries experience gained within a financial institution.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of investment management, including relevant terminology.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the regulatory environment and how it applies to and impacts your role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, including with senior audiences.
  • Ability to understand and summarise complex information in a professional and concise manner.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including a minimum basic level of Word and intermediate level of Excel.
  • Relevant professional qualification, such as the CISI Investment Operations Certificate, desirable but not essential.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Completing daily Transfer Agency activities, checks and processing accurately and within agreed timescales.
  • Ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard and reporting any anomalies to the line manager within agreed timescales.
  • Providing technical advice and support to assist with the resolution of team issues and queries.
  • Ensuring personal and team KPIs, KRIs and management information requirements are met.
  • Preparing weekly management information statistics relevant to team activities.
  • Supporting change initiatives and contributing to the development and delivery of changes to operational and systems infrastructure.
  • Supporting and providing cover for colleagues across the wider department as required.
  • Assisting with the training of new team members in business-as-usual activities and acting as a positive role model.
  • Contributing to the documentation of team procedures and periodically reviewing and updating them.
  • Attending and contributing to internal team meetings and raising relevant issues with the line manager.
  • Supporting the manager by attending meetings on their behalf where required.
  • Ensuring fair treatment of clients remains at the forefront of all activities, with interactions conducted in an open and transparent manner.
  • Maintaining a thorough understanding of the regulatory framework and the risks to clients within the operation, including how these risks will be mitigated.
  • Undertaking any other duties as required.
