Responsibilities:

  • Advising on a broad range of commercial, regulatory and corporate legal issues.
  • Identifying, monitoring and escalating legal risks, including in relation to new regulatory developments.
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range of commercial agreements, ensuring regulatory compliance and protecting the organisation's commercial position.
  • Supporting corporate and governance matters alongside the Company Secretariat team.
  • Assisting with compliance
  • Supporting the management of contractual disputes.
  • Working with external counsel on key projects.

Skills and Expeirence:

Essential

  • Good understanding of general commercial legal principles and commercial contracts.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently, with support of senior lawyers in the team (depending on experience).
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder management.

Beneficial

  • Experience of financial services sector or another regulated industry.
  • Experience in corporate law or litigation.
  • Experience in data protection law.
  • Private practice experience at a large commercial law firm.
