Core-Asset Consulting is working with a leading global financial services organisation to recruit a Financial Consultant to join an established financial reporting team in Glasgow on a 6 month temporary contract.
The successful candidate will assist with the preparation of financial statements for clients under US GAAP and IFRS, working closely with the wider team to deliver timely and accurate financial statements for year-end audits.
The position requires office attendance 5 days per week.
About the Role
Key responsibilities include:
* Working with the financial reporting team to support the timely delivery of financial statements for clients.
* Preparing financial statements from supporting documentation.
* Assisting auditors and providing clear supporting data for disclosures presented in the financial statements.
* Applying analytical skills when reviewing financial information.
* Ensuring financial statements are delivered within agreed deadlines.
Skills and Experience
* Strong knowledge of preparing financial statements.
* Strong accounting skills and knowledge of securities operations.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and identify and escalate issues where required.
* High level of accuracy and efficiency.
* Client-focused approach with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Relevant professional degree; a professional accounting qualification is preferred.
